Rather late Spider-Man chat, like I said, I’m running behind, but more are inbound! We’ll be up to date soon!
Hello, I am behind with these pods. This one was recored a while ago. Give it a listen, there is lots more on the way!
After to long a time away from the mics we are back, with no solid plan but loads to catch up on, so we ramble on. So strap in, it's a biggie!
Here we are, after a huge delay. This is the first episode in a small flurry, well, a flurry by our standards. This is the E3 episode that we did record right after E3 and then I (Ant) sat on it for to long. I will be better from here out!
This time we talk about Detroit. First impressions as we get to grips with David Gage's new game. Also, Dave gets stuck into Statik, which is by far and away my favourite VR game! Does Dave agree with me? Get listening!
It's nearly time. The hype is building. The big players are getting ready to go toe to toe. What? No, not the World Cup! It's E3 baby! And this is where we chuck out some predictions so we can look silly later! Enjoy!
God of War. Yeah, that should do it.
This episode I (Ant) unwisely mouth off about my Trackmania skills to petrol head Dave - I never learn. We talk about the gaming news that has peaked our interest and discus our Netflix Club pick: Spot Light.
Here we are again, diving into the joys of staying in. On this episode opinions are divided over the PS4 game, What Remains Of Edith Finch. We discus our Netflix Club film pick The Polka King and we recap all we've been up to while not going out. Enjoy.
Like a beautiful sunny day, you never can tell when a We Don't Go Out episode will come along to lift your mood. Or maybe you live in a part of the world where being drenched in sunshine is an everyday kind of thing. If that's you, think of us more like bird shit. We just drop unexpectedly. Anyway, here we are. Shitting on your sunny day - I may have lost control of this.
Moving on, so what's in this episode? Game chat, because that's what we do. Layers of Fear, Rime, Little Nightmares DLC, Nintendo direct and probably others I'm forgetting. And film chat, we do that too. Netflix club! 2 films to catch up on there! Concussion and Mute. Give us a listen and share us round!
In our last episode we, on a whim, said we should both actually put down on paper a personal top ten games list. I hadn't noticed before that my (@AnthonyHulse) own top ten list actually consisted of 27 games. And Dave's (@DaveHolmes82) list was equally mathematically challenging. But we did it, and here they are! Complete with gushing!
Februarys PlayStation Plus games are in coming! here what we think of that. MicroSoft want to buy EA? Come again? That can’t be real can it? Can it? Nintendo are selling cardbored and it’s wonderful or an utter piss take - we are split on this one listeners! We chat on a whole bunch of games, including the Breath of The Wild DLC, Tiny Metal, Steam World Dig 2, Wonder Book (remember that?), The Wolf Among Us, South Park: The Stick of Truth, The Inpatient and Dave tries to explain Hand Of Fate to me. Meanwhile in our Netflix Club we discus the film we picked last time, The Autopsy of Jane Doe, and Dave picks the next one. Plenty to pump straight into your ears!
So it's been a while, but here we are, back with more musings and ponderings on games, film and all other things that occupy us while we refuse to go out. We also relaunch our Netflix club so you, yes you dear listener, can get involved. So download and enjoy.
EA closed beloved studio Visceral Games while famed game director Amy Hennig was in the middle of making a Star Wars game. Then they revealed some of their plans around the loot boxes in Star Wars Battlefield II fresh on the heals of the hoopla around loot boxes in Lord of The Rings: Shadow of War. So EA aren't flavour of the month. So in this podcast we spend some time talking about Visceral Games sublime Dead Space game and grumpily wondering what the hell EA are doing! Along with Netflix Club where we talk about The Visit and Gerald's Game before talking about the games that have kept us locked to our screens. Including Hue, which, at the time of writing this, is free on PS+. Soak us up, we're free!
Stop everything. Rockstar Games have rolled out a fresh trailer for the hungrily awaited open world gun slinger Red Dead Redemption 2. you want more? OK, how about Dave still having reservations about the Switch (the fool), we talk about what we've been playing and discus our Netflix Club films, which were Shimmer Lake and Look Who's Back. Enjoy!
Films galore! We've barely had time to play any games! That's not true, but we've been watching more than playing! I Don't Feel At Home In This World Anymore, the new Death Note film, Okja, Arrival, Mad Max have all been viewed, and Dave has been on a horror binge and has watched a host of scary films. Some games have been played, of course. Hope you enjoy it!
Dave's dreams have been invaded by Roy and Moss because he's been watching so much IT crowd. Rise of The Tomb Raider to the rescue! We also take a look at our Netflix club film Frailty. In gaming news, DontNod have announced a partnership deal with Bandi Namco. We look at this exciting deal and wonder how it could push Tell Tale games - but, you know, it probably won't. And, yes, of course, our chat goes of on some tangents. You know the drill!
Me and Dave both set out to read Ready Player One but I am rubbish and fail. So we have a little spoiler free chat about that and what Dave thought about it. Dave's also been getting dirty skid makes playing dirt. I've been tackling Klaus, a tricksy side scroller on PS4. We've both been fumbling around the puzzle island that is the game The Witness. We add some new films to the Netflix Club, basically we deliver another podcast in the wake of any news! God we are good! Come soak us up!
Dave knocks another game of the back log, so we open with a look at Child of Light. The beautiful small game from Ubisoft. Ant falls in love with a Statik, a PSVR game scooped up in the first big VR sale, which we also talk about, along with Dunkirk and a host of other films, the PS+ price hike and the newest games that come with it. Of course we veer of into a myriad of tangents and we invite you along.
Oh, and find out which animal Ant's mother-in-law thinks best represents his love making ability thanks to new PS4 game "That's You".
With next to no news to talk about, chat turns to film and what we've been up to while staying in! Things get a little dark, well, very dark if we're honest, when Dave tells me about a film I've never seen or even heard of, a film Dave refuses to entertain and that has disgusted me. the rest of the the chat, GT, VR some upcoming games to watch out for and a bunch of films, is much lighter. So join us for a very chilled out chat. Enjoy.
